Next-stage two-hut route
- The walk
- Cabane Brunet → Panossière: 7 km · 3 h · +608/−80 m, intermediate. The route becomes steeper and more alpine; a lower path avoids the suspension bridge.
- Sleep
- Two traditional catered huts; shared sleeping should be assumed unless each hut confirms a room.
- Dinner
- Refreshment stops at both huts; official tourism specifically recommends their homemade fruit cakes. Dinner format and price need checking.
- Cost pieces
- Room and dinner are date-specific; fuel, tolls and parking are not yet sourced. Whole-trip total unavailable.
- Season
- Brunet roughly June–early October; Panossière late June–late September.
- Back to the car
- Free parking near Brunet. A linear finish at Fionnay needs bus/taxi logistics back via Le Châble, or reverse the route to the car.
