- Official Untersberg loop: 4 days; day 1 alone is 6.9 km · 3 h 30 · +1,100 m. Sure-footedness and comfort with exposure are required.
- Sleep
- Traditional huts and shared dorm-style accommodation; not a private-room-led trip.
- Dinner
- Catered hut stops, but water is limited on the karst plateau and each booking’s board terms must be checked.
- Cost pieces
- Room and dinner are date-specific; fuel, tolls and parking are not yet sourced. Whole-trip total unavailable.
- Season
- Broadly July–September for a high route; verify every hut and stage.
- Back to the car
- Official loops can return toward the start, but public-transport links are often simpler; exact logistics depend on route.
